The Bill (Reg. No. 3080) enhances responsibility of officials employed at the local self-government bodies for violation of the Law "On fighting Corruption" and the Oath of an official of a local self-government body.
The Committee members upheld the Bill, though expressed a number of remarks. Thus, pursuant to the Law "On fighting Corruption", officials of the local self-government bodies are regarded as the subjects of corruptive actions and other infringements related to corruption, and are responsible for their committal. Therefore, People´s Deputies deem unreasonable to duplicate the effective regulation in the Law "On Service at the Local Self-Government Bodies".
The Committee resolved to adopt the Bill as a basis, with due account taken of the introduced remarks.
